Elliot Ford grew up in the countryside in England. Their home was surrounded by farm animals and tons of farm dogs. Oddly enough, in their village, he was probably the only one who grew up without ever owning a dog. His friends and his cousins all had one, but he never really found the opportunity, or the dog, that made him want to have one.
It’s not that he didn’t like dogs; he used to play with his friend’s pooches a lot. They would spend hours running around in the vast countryside and even in the woods. Just active and playful boys and their dogs having fun. And now, in his adult years, Elliot finally found his own.
An instant bond
Elliot’s journey to dog ownership started when he started seeing a stray Pitbull just roaming the streets. The dog looked hungry and sad. Elliot couldn’t help but think about the dog. He knew that he was living in the streets and was leading a tough life.
He hoped that someone would do something and take the dog away. Somewhere he could have some security and a better life. It ended up with Elliot as being that someone. He just couldn’t stop thinking about that dog, so he took him himself.
Fortunately, the dog, which he named Snoop, saw Elliot as his rescuer. When Elliot came to pick him up and take him home, Snoop didn’t run or fight back; he happily went inside the car, probably knowing that he is going to a better life.
Elliot said that he and Snoop instantly bonded. Its as if they were always meant to be together. From the moment they got home, they were already best friends. And now, the two are always together.
They loved playing on the outdoors, playing games that Elliot did in his childhood. They would run in the woods, and Snoop loves rolling in the mud. But Snoop’s most favorite thing to do is to pick up some sticks and take them home. And at the end of each day, they realize how lucky they both are for having found each other.
