Mom Surprised Her Son With His Long-Lost Dog For Christmas
What is the best gift for Christmas? The answers will vary depending on who you ask. But if there is a common theme with the answers, that is the fact that everyone will wish for the one thing that they have been longing for. Some will ask for material possessions, and there will be people like Carter, who only wants his dog back.
The 14-year-old has been devastated when his best friend went missing. The pug was let out to do his business and one day, but she never came back home. Puzzled and afraid, Carter’s family search the entire neighborhood for their pooch, but to no avail.
The cute little pug is more than just a pet dog for Carter’s family. Carter lost his 21-month old brother, Jonah, to cancer, and Piper relieved the teenager of his pain when he received her as a gift for his 12th birthday. So it goes without saying that this pooch means everything to this boy.
Fortunately for Carter’s family, their luck would turn after three weeks since the pup went missing. She was found by an animal shelter somewhere in upstate New York. They called Carter’s mom to let her know that she can come to collect Piper. But instead of telling her son the good news, she thought of surprising him.
When she drove to Carter’s school to pick him up, she had Piper sitting at the passenger’s seat with ribbons on her neck. As Carter walked towards the car, he had no clue what was in store for him. When he spotted Piper, he was stunned! He paused for a moment, and when he realized it was indeed his pup, he cried tears of joy.
He gave the pup a big hug to show her just how much he missed her. Carter shared that this is the best Christmas present that he has received and that he is ecstatic that Piper is now back at home. Hopefully, this time around, they will take extra measures to ensure that the pup stays home.
