Rico is a brave pit bull. He also happens to be very lucky. Rico heroically confronted robbers who shot the dog in the head.
Despite the potentially fatal gunshot wound on his head, Rico survived the ordeal. The bullet bounced off his skull and exited via the dog’s neck. Fortunately, it did not hit any major organ.
Rico has recuperated since the incident. Now he is being hailed as a heroic doggo. And we wholeheartedly support that praise and distinction.

Chuck Mellinger was making shirts at a shop in Virginia Beach late one night. The t-shirts are a tribute to a high school student named Isaiah Jones, who had recently been gunned down in the neighborhood. Little did Chuck know that his night will have an ironic twist to it.
Isaiah’s case had yet to be solved. That alone made Chuck feel on the edge while he was making those t-shirts. Still, he shrugged off whatever anxiety he was feeling and continued doing his work.
A few minutes later, three robbers with 45 caliber guns went into the shop. They asked Chuck and another coworker for cash. When they did not get enough, they looked for the safe in an inner office.
Rico was sleeping nearby the inner office. The dog was a visitor at the shop, dropped off by his owner, who was on a date. Rico woke up due to all the commotion.
Rico did not cower in fear at the sight of the armed robbers. Instead, he attacked them. The robbers quickly fled but not before shooting Rico.
Rico’s gunshot wound proved to be nonfatal. He was taken to the vet and given first aid. He is a hero, indeed.
